It’s A Short Drive

to Windlesham Golf Club Thanks to …Gasp!

Gasp!, today announced that a recent ambient guerilla marketing campaign to recruit members for Windlesham Golf Club was viewed over 5,000 times in its first day, featured alongside global marketing agencies on the Creative Criminals blog and is also receiving very positive feedback and ratings on the renowned Ads Of The World website.

"Good ideas can't be realised without good clients,” explained Giles Edwards, Creative Director at …Gasp! “So we're delighted to have a loyal client who has faith in our expertise... even when it involves leaving golf balls in people's gardens!"

Berkshire-based creative team delivers video campaign for Surrey’s most perfectly placed golf club.

Typically, a golf club’s members live within a 30-mile radius, but because Windlesham is situated so close to the M3, it regularly attracts members from as far away as Winchester and London.

The Berkshire-based creative marketing agency created a campaign to appeal to potential golfers within a 30-minute radius of the club – a short drive. To raise awareness in a way that golfers would understand, …Gasp! left branded golf balls from the Club directing people to ashortdrive.com and simulated them being hit into their gardens. The web address was set to refer traffic to the Club’s website, allowing them to measure the campaign’s success.
